Company and industry dynamics
On the afternoon of October 30, 2024, Xue Bing, the special envoy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the Horn of Africa, and a delegation of seven people visited ZMEV LIMITED (hereinafter referred to as "ZMEV") to conduct research and guidance on the company's new energy vehicle overseas strategy and business development. Li Xiuwei, Chairman of ZMEV LIMITED, and the senior leadership team warmly received and participated in discussions and exchanges throughout the process.
Special envoy Xue Bing and his delegation visited the modern office area of the praise car and listened to a detailed report from the company's leaders on recent development achievements and future development plans during the subsequent discussion and exchange meeting.
At the meeting, Special Envoy Xue Bing expressed affirmation and high appreciation for ZMEV's clear overseas strategic direction, and inquired with concern about the difficulties and challenges encountered by ZMEV in operating in the African market.
The person in charge of ZMEV candidly reflected on several key issues, including the limitations of financing channels and the insufficient reserve of foreign professional talents. Compared to the markets in Central Asia and the Middle East, the current demand in the African market is relatively small, with small individual order sizes, and is constrained by factors such as credit evaluation and foreign exchange management, making the actual execution of orders more difficult. Although there have been no major fluctuations in the policy environment of the African market, small-scale adjustments and changes have occurred from time to time, such as new product testing requirements or market access thresholds, which have increased the complexity and uncertainty of business operations in the African market. In response to these challenges, the head of ZMEV expressed a willingness to seek more support from the national government to better respond to policy changes and market challenges. Envoy Xue Bing provided detailed responses and guidance to each of them.
The Horn of Africa, as an important region in northeastern Africa that controls the maritime artery connecting the Indian Ocean, the Red Sea, and the Suez Canal, including countries such as Kenya, Uganda, Somalia, Djibouti, Eritrea, and Ethiopia, holds significant strategic importance. The visit of Special Envoy Xue Bing not only reflects the high importance attached to the affairs of the "Horn of Africa" region, but also provides an important opportunity for Chinese enterprises such as ZMEV to further expand the market in Africa and deepen China Africa economic and trade cooperation. Through this exchange, both sides have further understood each other's needs and development directions, laying a solid foundation for the future development of ZMEV in Africa, and injecting new impetus into the sustained development of China Africa relations.
ZMEV LIMITED, as a new energy vehicle brand focused on overseas markets, is committed to becoming a leading enterprise in China's new energy vehicle market. At present, the company has successfully built a stable domestic and international automobile shipping network, with its main business covering a wide range of fields such as automobile import and export trade, overseas commercial operations, overseas factory investment and construction, applicability technology research and development, and domestic second-hand car maintenance and export. Looking ahead to the future, ZMEV LIMITED will continue to deeply cultivate the markets of underdeveloped countries, closely integrate with the usage habits of local people, and continuously upgrade the applicability of products to create explosive models that are both economical and durable. At the same time, the company will further integrate domestic second-hand car resources, carry out maintenance and upgrading, comprehensively enhance its comprehensive competitiveness in the African market, and steadily move towards becoming the "King of Africa" in the field of new energy vehicles.
