Company and industry dynamics
Dear friends, the 2026 Geely Xingyuan has officially launched! The official suggested retail price starts at 68,800 RMB, and there's a limited-time launch offer starting at just 65,800 RMB, making it quite attractive. As a year-end facelift model, it boasts several new changes. A new Chanson Purple/Black two-tone paint scheme is available, and the configuration has been tweaked for increased practicality. In terms of powertrain, it continues the current model's dual-engine configuration. The 310km version features a 58kW motor paired with a 30.12kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, while the 410km version is equipped with an 85kW motor and a 40.16kWh battery. According to the CLTC standard, the ranges are 310km and 410km, respectively, meeting the travel needs of different users. In terms of dimensions, its length, width, and height are 4135mm, 1805mm, and 1570mm, respectively, with a wheelbase of 2650mm. Rear legroom reaches 890mm. These dimensions are quite impressive for a compact car.
In terms of competition, the Geely Xingyuan competes primarily with the BYD Seagull and the Wuling Bingo. The Seagull's official suggested retail price ranges from 73,800 to 89,800 RMB, while the Bingo's is 59,800 to 89,800 RMB. The Xingyuan's limited-time starting price of 65,800 RMB is similar to the Bingo's, approximately 8,000 RMB lower than the Seagull. Regarding range, the Seagull offers two versions with 305km and 405km, while the Bingo offers 203km, 333km, and 401km. The Xingyuan's 310km and 410km ranges are similar to the Seagull's, and slightly higher than the top-of-the-line Bingo's 401km. In terms of dimensions, the Seagull has a 2500mm wheelbase, the Bingo has a 2560mm wheelbase, and the Xingyuan has a 2650mm wheelbase, making it the longest of the three models, offering superior rear-seat space. Regarding intelligent features, the Xingyuan is equipped with the Flyme Auto 2.0 system, the Seagull uses DiLink, and the Bingo uses Ling OS. Flyme Auto offers advantages in voice interaction and mobile phone connectivity.
The Xingyuan's core competitive advantage lies in its 2650mm wheelbase and 890mm of rear legroom. While its 4135mm length is standard for a small car, its wheelbase-to-axle ratio exceeds 64%, a rare achievement in its class. For example, the Seagull is 3780mm long with a 2500mm wheelbase, while the Bingo is 3950mm long with a 2560mm wheelbase. Therefore, the Xingyuan has a clear advantage in space utilization. With 890mm of rear legroom, even a 1.75-meter-tall passenger still has about two fists of legroom, making it very practical for families. The new car also features a 70L front trunk, which can accommodate a 20-inch carry-on suitcase. Combined with the trunk space and 36 storage compartments, the car's cargo capacity is also quite good.
Intelligent features are a key upgrade in this annual facelift. The cabin features a 14.6-inch floating screen and an 8-inch LCD instrument panel. It's equipped with the Flyme Auto 2.0 system, which supports three-finger flying navigation and see-and-talk voice control. This in-car system, jointly developed by Meizu and Geely, performs very well in terms of fluidity and mobile phone connectivity. Mid- to high-end models now feature 50W wireless fast charging and a cooling fan to reduce overheating during fast charging. The addition of heated seats and Level 2 driver assistance enhances the practicality of these models, though the specific scope of these Level 2 features remains to be officially announced. Standard features across the range include driver and passenger airbags, active braking, a leather steering wheel, mobile connectivity, imitation leather seats, automatic air conditioning, and mobile app-based remote control. High-end models also feature 256-color ambient lighting, rear air vents, and a six-speaker audio system.
Exteriorly, the new car maintains its closed front fascia, characterized by rounded, polygonal headlights and a double C-shaped air scoop. A new Chanson Purple/Black two-tone paint scheme has been added. The front apron air scoop has been expanded, and combined with semi-hidden door handles, it optimizes drag coefficient. LED lens headlights are standard across the range, with high-end models adding automatic high and low beam function. The side of the car features a two-tone floating roof design, 16-inch four-leaf clover wheels, and a 17-inch Sport model is available as an option. The rear is equipped with feather-like LED taillights with a dot-matrix light strip structure. The rear apron is finished in matte black with a honeycomb texture. The Sport model features a hollow spoiler and a charging port cover with an integrated breathing light function. The interior features a new Wonderland Green theme, and a drawer-style dressing table has been added to the dashboard. The focus of competition in the entry-level pure electric vehicle market is shifting from "cheaper" to "more practical." Pure electric small cars in the 50,000-80,000 yuan price range experienced a fierce price war in 2024 and 2025, with models like the Seagull, Bingo, and Changan Lumin continuously reducing prices and optimizing features to compete for market share. The Xingyuan's limited-time starting price of 65,800 yuan places it in the middle of this range. If it can maintain this price, along with its 410km range and Flyme Auto cockpit, it has certain advantages over the Seagull and Bingo in terms of space, range, and intelligence. However, users in the entry-level pure electric vehicle market are particularly price-sensitive, and the actual transaction price and purchase incentives will be key factors in determining sales. Would you consider this small pure electric car with a 2650mm wheelbase and 410km range? Feel free to leave a comment on the ZMEV inquiry page to discuss.
